About EverJoy

Bookkeeping backed by real business experience.

I didn't come to bookkeeping through a software login. I came to it after years of standing inside businesses — running them, staffing them, and doing the paperwork nobody sees.

The short version

I've been on your side of the desk.

I'm Linda Hubatsek, and I own EverJoy Bookkeeping. Before EverJoy, I spent years seeing businesses from nearly every angle — restaurant and retail management, corporate and district-level operations, payroll, human resources, training administration, automotive sales, automotive finance, repair operations, and office administration.

I also spent a short time as a professional chauffeur in 2019 for a small business owner, giving me insight into the unique experience of the entrepreneur. I am fortunate to have experienced this prior to the shutdowns of 2020.

That's not a résumé I list to sound impressive. It's the reason I work the way I do.

I've built schedules and covered the shift when someone called out. I've run payroll and fielded the question about why a check looked different this week. I've trained new managers, handled the customer who wasn't happy, chased the paperwork, and watched a good month get eaten by costs nobody was tracking closely enough.

So when I open your books, I'm not looking at rows in a ledger. I'm looking at a record of all of that — the staffing, the season, the decisions, the pressure.

Why that matters to you

Numbers make more sense when you know the business behind them.

A bookkeeper who has only ever seen businesses through accounting software can tell you what a number is. Someone who has worked inside operations can usually tell you what it means — and which question to ask next.

Labor creeping up isn't just a line item; it's scheduling. A strange month in a service business isn't always a mistake; sometimes it's weather, or one big job closing late. Payroll that never quite ties out usually has an operational reason, not a mysterious one.

  • I know what payroll pressure feels like from the manager's chair, not the report
  • I've dealt with employees, customers, deadlines and paperwork all in one day
  • I understand seasonal businesses that don't earn evenly across twelve months
  • I've seen how quickly administrative work buries an owner who's good at everything else
  • I know the difference between a number that's wrong and a month that was hard

I don't look at your books as numbers in isolation. I understand the business happening behind them.

How EverJoy works

The way I'd want it done for my own business.

  • No jargon, no performance

If I can't explain something in ordinary language, I haven't explained it. You should never have to nod along to your own financial information.

  • Nobody gets shamed for being behind

Falling behind on bookkeeping is what happens to busy people, not careless ones. It's a starting point. That's all it is.

  • Consistency beats heroics

Steady monthly work prevents the frantic quarter. The goal is books that are simply current — not a rescue operation every spring.

  • You keep the driver's seat

My job is to hand you accurate, understandable information. The decisions stay yours — they should. It's your business.

  • Ask me anything, twice

Questions about your own numbers aren't an imposition. If something doesn't make sense yet, that's worth the conversation.

  • Quiet, reliable, on time

Good bookkeeping shouldn't be exciting. It should be the part of your month you stop thinking about because it's handled.

Let's talk

Tell me about your business. I'll tell you what your books need.

No files to gather, no cleanup beforehand. Just a conversation about where things stand and what would actually help.
